Baywood Home Care
(Formerly Homewatch Home Care)
"A Great Alternative to a Nursing Home"
Learn more about Home Care compared to a Nursing Home.
At Baywood Home Care (formerly Homewatch Home Care), we offer everything that a nursing home does and more! We say more, because with Baywood Home Care (previously Homewatch), people are able to stay living in their own homes and receive one-on-one care that is personalized to their needs from a caregiver that they get to know and trust.
With Baywood Home Care (previously Homewatch Home Care), people receive care and/or assistance on a day-to-day basis from compassionate individuals who are well-trained, screened, and certified as Home Health Aides (HHA). A HHA has the same qualifications as a Nursing Assistant that provides care in a Nursing Home or Hospital. Baywood Home Care HHA's (formerly Homewatch HHA's) have prior experience in working with seniors and come to us with good references. Our Caregivers are available for assistance each week on a personalized and flexible schedule of 3-hr up to 24-hr visits or for around-the-clock care. Live-in caregivers are available.
Most people don't realize that nearly all of the care provided in a nursing home can be provided in one's own home by Baywood Home Care (formerly Homewatch Home Care). At Baywood Home Care (formerly Homewatch Home Care), we are licensed and regulated by the Minnesota Department of Health to provide the care and assistance that makes it possible for almost any senior to continue living life at home, indefinetly. Another common misconception among people is that the cost of home care is much greater than the cost of a nursing home. Click here to view a comparison of the cost of home care to a nursing home. Sometimes, Baywood Home Care (formerly Homewatch Home Care) costs less than a nursing home and our clients receive all of the benefits that come along with continuing to live life at home!
The biggest difference between a Nursing Home and Home Care is that with Baywood Home Care (formerly Homewatch Home Care) people get one-on-one care, in their own home, from a consistant caregiver whom they get to know and trust. With Baywood Home Care (formerly Homewatch Home Care), seniors continue living their life, the way they choose and where they choose. We ensure for our clients that they have the assistance they need to maintain their homes, have transportation for doctors appointments or errands or social outings, to appropriately take medications, to eat healthy meals, and to have other needs such as personal care attended to -- all making it possible to stay home without having to move into a nursing home. With Baywood Home Care (formerly Homewatch Home Care), our caregivers not only address people's medical needs, but also their social and emotional needs. In addition to medication administration, providing for bathing and personal care, assisting with mobility, and providing Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Care ... we help with housekeeping, prepare meals to our client's liking, provide transportation, run errands, and plan social outings based on individual interests. We do our very best to match up Baywood caregivers (formerly Homewatch caregivers) and clients who will get along well. Our goal is to take care of
whatever is necessary so that the client can continue living their life at home, indefinitely.
The home care that we provide is supervised through regular in-home visits by a Registered Nurse (every 2 to 14 days based on needs). The R.N. can provide case management, liaison with doctors and family members, perform skilled assessments, set up medications, and so much more. Family members have a reliable source for communication, consultation, and management of their loved one's care. Baywood Home Care clients (formerly Homewatch clients) have access to an R.N. who is on-call 24-hours a day, just as in Assisted Living. Click Here to meet our Nurses.
